La Plagne Soleil
One of the most skied resorts in Europe, La Plagne Domain offers some fantastic flattering skiing, good snowmaking facilities and owners who constantly invest in the lift system. It’s a terrific resort for families as there is lots of blue runs to learn on and there is less of an après ski scene.
Consists of 10 Villages Aime La Plagne,Plagne Villages/Soleil, Belle Plagne, Plagne Centre, Plagne Bellecote , Plagne 1800,Montchavin, Les Coches, Montalbert
Montchavin / Les Coches = very pretty Bellecote / Aime la Plagne = ugly Plagne Centre = good access to slopes Belle Plagne = central to the Paradiski area (La Plagne & Les Arcs)

| About The Mountain |
|
 |
|
|
La Plagne Soleil Mountain Information On Piste in La Plagne – over 100 pistes, and the majority of the runs North facing skiing La Plagne gives you a sense of adventure as you ski across to the different villages.
Beginners This is an excellent resort to learn in with plenty of nursery slopes. If you have young children learning we'd recommend staying in Les Coches, you might find Plagne 1800 and Montchavin runs back into the village a bit too challenging
Intermediate Skiers This is a great resort for intermediates. If you've just got to grips with turning then you will enjoy the vast amount of blue motorway pistes, try over in the Montchavin area. For those looking for more of a challenge then head over to the red runs like Kamikaze in the Champagny sector or head to 2700m Roche de Mio and make your way down to Les Bauches.
Experts Our recommendation is to take a guide and explore the untracked off-piste areas. There's a couple of good on piste runs you should check out to including Emile Allais (downgraded from a black to a red run) and the runs from Bellecote (3417m) down to the lift below Col de la Chiaupe (2550m). - when the snow is there and they are open they offer a fantastic stretch to the legs.
Cross Country We thoroughly recommend the cross country here as you have over 29km of trails in the Champagne le Haut region. In total there is probably around 85km of trails that you can explore. Do check the tourist office for more details
Snowboarders It's one big vast adventure and if you love a bit of free riding this is a good resort. Pick up a guide and head off piste or explore the wooded areas for some natural jumps and rails.
Buy your La Plagne Lift Pass online before you goYou can pre-buy your lift tickets. La Plagne and Paradiski have a loadable card called the par@diski-cartes. Once you have purchased the card you can recharge it with ski passes as many times as you want, up to 48 hours before you ski ! Buy La Plagne and Paradiski Lift Tickets here |

Went off piste quite a lot in La Plagne…there was so much great terrain that was hidden – fresh snow! Love it! We were a group of snowboarders that took a guide out for a couple of days…quite pricey but was worth it and we all had a ball! Our guide showed us some awesome terrain – as well as the best restaurants and après ski places on the slopes. That was an added bonus which was cool…went to Chalet des Verdons Sud just above Champagny. Got very busy a lunch…but guess you’d expect that from a great restaurant on the mountains!
By Maddie Tomlinson on 04/01/2010 10:08:26
Go to Chalet des Verdons Sud for a meal when up on the mountains…make sure you’ve worked up an appetite skiing though as the food is the finest in these area. Loved it so much that we went up one evening in the snowcat and had an evening meal up there – 7 courses! Fantastic…make sure you worked hard skiing or snowboarding during the day though!!!! Enjoy.
