About The Mountain
Piau Engaly Ski
The resort is built at the end of the Aure Valley in a large open bowl. It's centrepiece is the vertical drop from of 1100m from the 2528m top station on the Pic de Piau.
For Experts There are two marked off piste tracks, the Couloir and the Lagopede accessed by the Clot Chair. Snowbrainer recommend you take a guide as they will advise you when the avalanche risk is too high to ski this area. The Lagopede starts off steep as it heads down into the Badet Valley, eventually flattening out and then going steep again before the Badet Blue. There are a number of other off piste areas that present a real challenge so as mentioned before hook yourself up with a guide and explore.
