Montchavin Ski Good local area with the added benefit of linking into La Plagne and Les Arcs. In terms of its own skiing however Montchavin does have runs to offer, especially in bad weather where the the runs between the trees can come in handy in escaping from fog and snow. The snow in general around the resort is well protected even though relatively it is lower down than it's neighbors in the La Plagne high life ski area, which is only 2 lifts away. You can access Les Arcs in around 10 minutes also by taking the Vanoise Express. |

Montchavin Mountain Restaurants There are plenty of mountain restaurants to choose from and some are very good indeed. The Chalet des Verdons Le Sauget (0033 479 555127) which is a real little find. Also try the Ferme de Cesar (0033 621 543924) above Champagny is very good if you get over there. |
