About The Resort..

Ski Pas de la Casa

Pas de la Casa is a small duty free town on the border with France.  It is a little dreary to look at but there is lots of accommodation near the lifts which means that you aren't trekking around in your boots.  The resort may not be as convenient as Soldeu for the skiing in the Grandvalira ski area but those who like to party will love the party atmosphere in this lively town.  It is  the biggest and the most well know resort in Andorra, and has established itself as the party-centre of the Pyranees.

You will find the resort under a number of different spellings so for more information you can try searching for Pas de la Case, Pas de Cas and Par de la Casa

Resort Restaurants

Restaurants_Pas_de_la-CasaRestaurants Pas de la Casa

There are over 50 places to eat in Pas de la Casa.  A lot of the restaurants are family run affairs so cater for the typical pizza / paella market along with a few international dishes.  If you are looking for something a bit more upmarket head to:

Marisqueria Campistrano - good cuisine
Marmita - situated in the Hotel Roig , fresh local produce and high end cooking

There are also Burger King and MacDonalds restaurants in Pas de la Casa.

Nightlife..

neon bar signBar Pas de la Casa & Pas de la Casa Nightlife

Apres ski is awesome here and attracts a large crowd.  What with the drinks roughly the same prices as here in the UK but three times the size it is easy to forget how much you have drunk.

Underground is a good place to head to for some late night dancing.
Milwalkee has a fantastically long 'happy hour' and is a great place for apres fun.
Bilboard is another good club to head to.  Attracts a British and Dutch crowd so everyone's always up for a crack.
KBS has a surfy style atmosphere. Live music and themed nights makes this another of Pas' unmissable bars.

Other Activities

swimmerActivities Pas de la Casa

There is a great sports centre offering pool, squash, table tennis and sports hall, helicopter flights, husky sled rides, Paintballing, shopping, snowmobiling.

There's also an ice driving circuit which you can book yourself in on if you are looking for a spin on Europe's highest circuit.

Accommodation

Himalaya Pas de la Casa

Hotel Himalaia Pas (00376 73 55 15) is not a bad bet. It is a comfortable 4 star hotel. The '4 star' status of a hotel in Andorra doesn't, by all accounts, necessarily equate to a 4 star status in other countries.

Apartments are cheap and plentiful, and it may help you avoid the 18-30 crowd.

Hotel Font D Argent Pas de la Casa

The Hotel Font d'Argent is a pleasant hotel in a good location. Easy walk to the ski slopes - only about a minute from the main lift at Pas. Bath and showers, clean rooms and buffet style food.

Hotel Cal Ruiz Pas de la Casa

Clean rooms. Easy enough to walk to bars / clubs. Located at the bottom of town so 5 minute walk uphill to ski slopes (so look to hire a ski locker up near slopes)

Aparthotel Alaska pas de la Casa

A four star hotel in Pas de la Casa. Disable Access, Internet points, Restaurant, Bar-cafeteria, fitness centre, spa and TV room.

Apartments Pas de la Casa, Chalets in Pas de la Casa, Holidays in Pas de la Casa Pas de la Casa Holiday.

A number of British tour operators offer package holidays to Pas de la Casa.

Pas de la Casa Ski

Pas_de_la_Casa_Ski_ResortBeginners skiing in Pas de la Casa
There is a beginner's slope in Pas, but you might find it easier to start learning in the Grau Roig area instead.

Intermediates skiing in Pas de la Casa
There are some good runs for intermediate level skiers in the Grandvalira area, with plenty of long blues and reds.

Advanced skiing in Pas de la Casa
We recommend the off piste.  Head up above the Grau Roig area.  Other than that there is not a great deal to push good skiers and boarders.

Snowboarders
Head up to the terrain park and boardercross.

Reviews

Went over to Pas de la Casa and had an awesome time. The snow was fantastic as was the après ski….we had a wild time! Admittedly there was a group of 12 of us so things were not going to be subdued! The nightlife was pretty cheap and cheerful which was what we wanted and the pistes were wide and ideal for cruising so great for the beginners and intermediates in our group. There was quite a lot to do for non skiers or those that wanted a break from the snow. Stayed at the Himalaya – there was a pool, which was definitely a plus and the staff were friendly and the rooms were big and spacious!

We really liked Pas de la Casa which has some great skiing and snowboarding especially for the beginners in our party. There is also enough decent ski runs for the intermediates but not enough for the one expert amongst us. It then gets even better after dark with some brilliant après skis and nightlife with the added benefit of being cheaper than some other resorts I have been to. We had the added bonus of not skiing one day and went to the Cadea spa which the girls in the party seemed to enjoy!
