Seefeld has twice been the venue for the Winter Olympics and is close to Innsbruck. It has a brilliant network for cross country skiing and is generally a very good resort to learn to ski in. Seefeld has a wonderful pedestrianised centre with a number of people who don't even come for the skiing. Upmarket indeed with three 5* hotels as well! Maybe cross country enthusiasts amongst us hould head here because there are around 262km of excellent tracks. Innsbruck is close by too.

About The Mountain
Seefeld Ski
Beginners
Seefeld is an excellent resort for beginners to learn in. The ski schools is very good and the slopes are gentle to start on. Lessons begin around the Geigenbuhel area.
Intermediates
For intermediates take the mountain railway up to the Rosshutte where you will find the more challenging slopes. If it's day one and you are still getting your legs then head to teh Gschwandetkopf which is close to the village and has easier runs.
Advanced
Seefeld is limited for advanced skiers and boarders, we'd suggest you head up to the Rosshutte and if you love moguls then the Seefelder Joch will give you a challenge. Best bet is to hire a guide for a day and head over to the far side of Harmelekopf where the off piste can be excellent.
Snowboarders
There is a half pipe and snowboard park, freeriders with experience check out our comments for experts and you'll probably want to follow suit though perhaps not the mogul field!
Cross Country There is lots of cross country for all grades and Seefeld is a highly recommended resort for this. There are over 250km of tracks including the course designed for the 1976 Winter Olympics and the World Championships held in 1985.
