Arc 1800
Arc 1800 is the largest of all the villages making up Les Arcs. There is a mix of apartment blocks and also some prettier wooden buildings tucked away in the wooded areas. The skiing is fantastically extensive and varied. The runs above the village are great for cruising, and the area above Les Arcs 2000 offers some harder slopes for the adventurous. Arcs 1800 also has the most vibrant bars sometimes playing live music.

| About The Mountain |
Arc Ski The main part of Les Arc stretches across a sunny west facing mountain. There’s some real varied skiing available for a mix of abilities. You have the height (a lot of runs above 200m) so you are pretty much assured of snow on the upper runs and then the wooded areas in the lower levels are great to escape to when the weather closes in. The ability to catch a cable car to La Plagne means you can get the best of both mountains. The ride across is about 20 minutes.
For experts head to above Arc 2000 where you’ll find some good off piste. From the top of the Grand Col chair you can access several routes including a tricky couloirs. (though there is an easier option available) For intermediates we suggest heading to the Peisey-Vallandry area where you’ll find some nice uncluttered tree lined runs. More of a challenge head for Aiguille Rouge to Le Pre run.
Beginners head to Arc 1800 or Peisey-Vallandry 1800, sunny wide slopes. Snowboarders Take the Clair Blanc chair lift to the Apocalypse Parc. It’s a great park and highly rated with 3 kicker lines, green, red, and black, for all levels of jumping. Features hips, jumps and rails. There’s also a floodlit half-pipe at Arc 2000 and loads of tree lined off piste. Do watch the numerous blues that can be very flat and require walking.

Arc 1800 – the best cocktails at Jungle Café; had far too many of their addictive cosmos….great night though…I was on fine form skiing on the mountains the next day! As you can imagine!

Awesome snowboarding at Apocalypse Park, just above Arc 1800 – great terrain park - we really got to practice our jumps and stuff. Was pretty gnarly – the snow was pretty heavy too when we went to Les Arcs. Our group would probably go back there again…although always keen to try new mountain resorts.
