| About The Mountain |
Arcs 2000 Ski The main part of Les Arc stretches across a sunny west facing mountain. There’s some real varied skiing available for a mix of abilities. You have the height (a lot of runs above 200m) so you are pretty much assured of snow on the upper runs and then the wooded areas in the lower levels are great to escape to when the weather closes in. The ability to catch a cable car to La Plagne means you can get the best of both mountains. The ride across is about 20 minutes.
Experts - head to above Arc 2000 where you’ll find some good off piste. From the top of the Grand Col chair you can access several routes including a tricky couloirs. (though there is an easier option available)
Intermediates - we suggest heading to the Peisey-Vallandry area where you’ll find some nice uncluttered tree lined runs. More of a challenge head for Aiguille Rouge to Le Pre run.
Beginners - head to 1800 or Peisey-Vallandry 1800, sunny wide slopes.
Snowboarders - Take the Clair Blanc chair lift to the Apocalypse Parc. It’s a great park and highly rated with 3 kicker lines, green, red, and black, for all levels of jumping. Features hips, jumps and rails. There’s also a floodlit half-pipe at Arc 2000 and loads of tree lined off piste. Do watch the numerous blues that can be very flat and require walking.

Arc 2000 Ski Runs
The epic black down from the top of Aiguille Rouge is a great test for advanced skiers, with pure exhilaration and stunning views making this one of the really great runs in the Les Arcs resort. If you have the enthusiasm and strength to make it all the way down, you will end up in Villaroger. Alternatively, you can peel away to Les Arcs half way down. When the show is good, each stage of this huge decent is brilliant fun. Stop for some food, or a celebratory drink, at Solliet, the Ferme or the Aiguille Rouge (or all three...) which are situated in or near the rustic village of Villaroger.
