Brides les Bains
Bride-Les-Bains is a quiet spa town in the valley below Meribel. It was created in 1848 and is renowned for it’s slimming cures. Hopefully the skiing will tick the exercise box for you though, which is easy enough due to the high speed gondola lift that connects to the bottom slopes in Meribel in 25 minutes. This gives skiers and boarders access to the renowned three valleys – Meribel, Mottaret, Courchevel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens
Brides-les-Bains has a number of bars and restaurants as well as two nightclubs and the only casino of the Three Valleys, all with prices well below those of Meribel and Courchevel. For non-skiers or for a more relaxing form of après-ski there is a splendid new spa area based in the town’s famous thermal health centre.
The thermal resort at Thermes d'Orsi employs specialists and professionals including doctors, masseurs, dieticians and psychologists who can work out special weight loss and fitness programs, often involving a pleasurable dip in the 36 Celsius thermal pool at Salins, a hydro massage and a visit to the mud bath.

Best Ski Runs Near Brides Les Bains Combe du Vallon – great for long fast cruising when it has been groomed, head up the mont du vallon gondola and then come down either side for a great run.
Head up the Plattieres Gondola and get off at the second station and there is a good run back to Mottaret (also red)
Roc de Fer – Meribel – black Vertical 850m get off at the top of the Tougnette gondola and take the steep black run down direction Meribel. This Black Face run was built for the women’s downhill and is a great run to hit after the piste basher has been on .
Head to the top of the Altiport for a relaxed green run that follows the Altiport chairlift from top to bottom. Wide slope, peaceful and pretty skiing through the trees. Here at Snowbrainer we like to stop for hot chocolates or lunch at Les Rhodos on the way down.
