Ski Valmeinier
Valmienier links with Valloire at the foot of the Galibier Pass. The two resorts offer varied skiing and are especially good for beginners due to the wide open runs.
For Beginners you will find the nursery slopes conveniently located next to the village. Once you have mastered them head up higher to some of the wide open slopes.
Intermediates There will be enough to keep you amused for a whole week and we recommend the red run back down to Valmeinier 1500.
Snowboarders There is a snowpark with a half pipe at the Crey du Quart and besides that freestylers will enjoy the varied terrain stretching across both resorts.
Experts - there's a challenging mogul run back to Valmeinier 1500, otherwise head to Setaz for other blacks.

Reviews
We visited Valmeinier last week (Feb 6th 10) and thought the resort was fun. The pistes on all the mountains were full of snow, although the piste colours were somewhat amusing as all the runs were pretty similar in the ability needed to get down them. And let me say you do need a little ability to get home on the crowded runs back into the resort.
