About The Resort..
La Norma Ski
La Norma is a small carless resort situated at 1350m on a tree covered plateau in the Maurienne valley. It has wondeful views of the Vanoise Massif and is very good place for families to stay.
One of the big attractions is the easy transfer time. It is one of the closest resorts to the motorway in the valley.

La Norma has 1400m vertical drop with 65km of groomed pistes and a mixture of runs for beginners to experienced skiers. La Norma has over 106 snow cannons covering the areas up to 2350m. There are 17 lifts including 1 cable car, 7 chairlifts, 8 drag lifts.
Beginners The nursery slopes are right next to the centre with a lovely green through the woods once you have learnt to make that first turn.
There is a snow garden supervised by ESF instructors. Piou-Piou club for 3 year ods is a great introdution to skiing and snow games
L'Ourson for 4 and 5 year olds introduces little ones to skiing with morning or afternoon group lessons.
There are 11 red runs to play on and 2 black runs.
Advanced skiers
Limited for advanced skiers with only two black runs.
One really positive thing about La Norma is that every Thursday for 5 Euros you can jump a bus and head off for the 3 Valleys via Orelle which is the secret 4th valley next to Val Thorens (www.orelle.net) 15km away La Norma's own slopes cover 65km mostly north facing pistes.
Snowboarders
A snow park, boarder cross and free ride areas. During busy school holiday periods they offer special nocturnal lessons in the snowpark.
The alternative is to buy from one of the two outlets in the villagte. the Maison de La Norma (open 09-00 - 17:00) or in the chalet, by the chairlifts (weekdays and school holidays)
