Description: A duty free mecca on the border with France. A little dreary to look at but lots of accommodation near the lifts helps. Watch the cars as you cross the road! Maybe not as convenient as Soldeu for the skiing but the young at heart amongst will love the party atmosphere. It is the biggest and the most well know resort in Andorra. Great for shopping so take and empty bag to fill up with those cheap goodies.

Description: Encamp is linked directly to the Grau Roig skiing fields (Pas de la Casa, Gran Roug, Soldeu, El Tarter, and Encamp) Pas de La Casa , which in turn links up to Soldeu and El Tarter. It is a very relaxed resort and is ideally suited to families especially those on a budget. Beginners and intermediates will enjoy themselves in Encamp. Encamp itself is a the end of the GrandValira and you will have to tak the gondola home at he end of the day.

Description: El Tarter along with Pas de La Casa, Soldeau, Canillo and Encamp are all part of the Grand Valira. All the mountains are linked making it one of the largest ski areas in Europe. Low prices, good ski schools an exceptional nightlife make it a place the Brits love. El Tarter itself is a little spread out with no real centre. You will also find El Tarter has slightly less nightlife than Andorra.

Bad Gastein is the most well know town set amoungst a large gorge valley and attracts an ever increasing number of British skiiers who enjoy the massive waterfall roaring through the centre of town. A word of warning it is probably best to have a car to enjoiy the whole ski area as the bus service is somewhat limited.
