Fulpmes, Austria

Description: Both Fulpmes and Neustift are attractive Tirolean villages in the Stubai Valley. There are 4 main ski areas with a total of 130km of pistes available via the Innsbruck Glacier Pass. Fulpmes itself only has limited sking of 20km which best serves the beginners amongst us. Intermediates should head for the Stubai Glacier one of the biggest and best in the world with around 55km of runs on it and the added benefit of guaranteed snow

Ischgl, Austria

Description: The resort is on the Swiss /Austrian border and has a compact pedestrianised centre. Glamourous hotels abound with good apres ski. The best place to stay is close to the SilvreHabahn lift in the centre of town. A real plus is that there is a moving walkway from town to the other two lifts. The Pardatschgratbahn and Fimbabahn with money recently spent here is is fast becoming one of the top resorts in Austria and we at Snowbrainer highly recommend it.

Grindelwald, Switzerland

Description: With its natural beauty, stunning views Grindewald is a nice place to stay. The resort and slopes see very little sun in January but that may be of use during the ice carving festival in January. The resort lies at the secluded end of the Lutschine valley and there is very little traffic. It's a good base for access to the Jungfrau Region which is all interlinked The most convenient place to stay for the slopes is at Grind, although it is out of the centre and has been called a little charmless
